Single-Factor Authentication Passwordless with the YubiKey 5 Series - The YubiKey 5 security keys can be used alone for strong single-factor authentication, requiring no username or password to login - just tap or touch to authenticate. Users will receive the same trusted security, ease of use, and durability expected from a YubiKey, but will now have the added option of passwordless logins using FIDO2: Authentication options with the YubiKey 5 Series. The 5th generation YubiKey has arrived! All leading platforms and browsers have either made support or are engaged in this standards work, expanding authentication choices using authentication devices, such as a YubiKey, with or without a username and password. If you're just looking for a simple hardware U2F option, the YubiKey 5 NFC is probably overkill-consider the more affordable Security Key by Yubico or the instead. I would note that Lastpass sent my customer ticket on and they in fact eventually came up with a solution. I have a 4C and think it is great - the only downside is the lack of NFC and that only a subset of sites support it, but more are implementing it as time goes on. I'd be more concerned about general reliability. Another much anticipated feature added with the YubiKey 5 series, is the addition of NFC to the YubiKey 5 NFC device, allowing for a seamless and secure tap-and-go experience with mobile devices or external NFC readers. The user would then have to ignore the cert error as well. In addition to providing unphishable two-factor authentication, the FIDO2 application on the YubiKey allows for the storage of resident credentials. ※ Download: ?dl&keyword=yubikey+5+nfc&source=
